About Me

Hi, I'm Mia Andrews.
I am a 22 year old student-athlete born and raised north of Philadelphia, PA.
As a 2-time High School State Champion at Archbishop Wood (PA),
NJCAA State Champion & Final Four at Chipola College (FL),
and an NEC Regular Season Champion at FDU (NJ),
I'm still chip chasing and working towards my
Master's Degree in Business and Sports Management.
I was recently awarded the opportunity to join the WBCA - Women Basketball Coaches Association - in the "So You Wanna Be a Coach" Grad Assistant Program.
Over the years, I learned (and am still learning ) the importance
of self-care, balance and self-love.
I hope you enjoy learning more about me and follow me on Instagram .

My Basketball Journey
Basketball has been a part of my life forever. I was born when the Sixers and Allen Iverson took on the Lakers in the NBA Finals.
I've had great experiences at USA Trials, won 2 HS state championships and my JUCO team won the NJCAA State Championship; plus we made it to the NJCAA Final Four.
But every athlete knows - it's not all fun! The 2 or 3-a-days, , sore muscles, aching feet, the "I just want to sleep but this paper is due" vibes plague us every week. And the competition to get better - EVERY. DAY. Never ends.
Like my dad always said, "Ball is life."
Without learning lessons on the court, lessons in life would be extremely difficult in the real world.
I’m inspired by my family - as they've been my biggest advocates. It's always been important to connect to my roots and gain insight from their experiences.
Now it's time! I'm ready to share my story, and I'm still going through it all. I'd like to help others gain confidence and encourage you to create your own wellness journey.
My Self-Care Story
We need to be our own advocates.
I love the idea of self-care.
I also love that self-care can happen anytime and anywhere - and it can be different things for different people.
The stress of studying and practicing all day - trying to manage sports, classes, money, cooking, friendships -
made me learn that I have to pay attention to MY needs.
I started an all-natural sugar scrub collection during the COVID bubble/ lockdown. I hope you take time for your own self care and enjoy my sugar scrubs as much as I do.
